WinVerter-Monitor OB is a single software program capable of running on even low performance PCs. It contains up to three separate display modules, or windows; one for inverters (including the FX, VFX, GTFX and GVFX series), one for solar charge controllers (including the MX60 and FLEXmax 80), and one for the FLEXnet DC battery monitor. Each display module can be purchased separately, when you need it, allowing you to pay only for what you need.

The OutBack Mate uses an RS-232 serial communications port as its gateway to computers. But many modern PCs and laptops no longer have built-in RS-232 serial ports. What to do? If your PC or laptop has card slots (typically PCMCIA for laptops), the preferred method is to add an RS-232 serial port card to your PC (but make sure its drivers are compatible with the PC’s operating system). But if your PC doesn’t have card slots, there are media conversion devices available that can convert Ethernet, USB or Blue Tooth to RS-232. PLEASE NOTE – if you choose to use media conversion devices, you will need to purchase or make a Mate Adapter because the Mate’s serial port is optically coupled and gets its power from the PC’s RS-232 signals and most media conversion devices do not have full strength RS-232 signals. Our Mate Adapter allows you to connect external 12 volts DC to the Mate’s serial port which will allow it to work with low powered RS-232 signals.
