"WinVerter™" is a melding of two technologies; "Win" for Microsoft Windows ® (the most prevalent PC operating system in use), and "Verter" for Xantrex and OutBack Power sine- wave inverters (the most prevalent whole-house, battery-based power systems in use).

The WinVerter™ products are designed to enhance the usability of the Inverters by providing inexpensive, user-friendly monitoring and control methods through a Windows user interface.
